I suck so much.

I am so sorry, guys. School consumes my life and my time. But I'm just going to post now. =/

Esther, Rest In Awesome. I never met you, but you were such an inspiration to us all. You did so much with your life and will continue to affect all of us. You live on in all of the awesome that we do, and you constantly continue to remind us to be awesome. Thank you for all you've done for Nerdfighteria and the rest of the world. School has been pretty brutal.... I've got so many classes, all with so much homework. Senior year is not going to be a blowoff year at ALL. I hope it gets easier second semester. Have you guys started yet or are you waiting until after Labor Day?

Today's Awesome Thing! (Haven't done this in a while....)
The Middle of the Night.
I love being awake in the middle of the night so much. When everything is quiet and you have the house to yourself.... It's just so very peaceful and so very freeing and .... just nice. I love the feeling that I can just stay up as late as I want and I don't have to stop because I have nowhere to go, because it's the middle of the night. And I love the feeling that there are other people who are sitting at home on the computer or the TV, just relaxing like I am because they have nothing they have to do in the middle of the night, either. In the middle of the night, I can do absolutely nothing and I don't feel guilty for not being productive. It's glorious.

So other than school, not much is going on.... I just want to go back to Scotland so bad. =P

To start off this blog, let me just say this: Esther, a very special girl died early this week. I didn't get the chance to know her personally, but she introduced me to the HPA, which lead me to making some of the best friends I've ever had. Thanks Esther, your star won't go out. We won't let it.

In other news, I joined Swing Dance Club, which was suuuppper fun! I just lewarned the basic steps today, but it was fun nonetheless.

I also got and read Mockingjay, the last book in the Hinger Games Trilogy.

OHMYGOSH! it was sooooooo good! It was really intense and... i can't even. Amazing. Period.

I know these blogs are pretty short, but I have nothing much else to say.

I COMPLETELY forgot to post yesterday! I'm back in school now, so I've been SUPER busy, not that that's an excuse. As soon as I got in bed yesterday I remembered that it was Wednesday and I needed to post! I am SO sorry!

Anyway, I don't actually have any time right now because I'm about to leave for school, but I promise I will post something legit when I get home. You guys can punish me if you want, but no one else has really been posting either.... =/

Tuesday the Ninth (and also the twenty fourth)

Now, I propose that next week's theme be vintage. It would be quite charming.

Now, I don't really have much to say, except for that it's incredibly hot, so I'll just be moving on to my features.

Today in History, scientists declared Pluto to be "not a planet", and I declared them "idiots". I'm rather fond of Pluto, and I always have been, so it was quite a shock when my favourite planet was demoted so abruptly. What hogwash.

And TVDIRT is difficult, as there is no theme, but whatever. Here is a song by the lovely Lady Gaga, and here is Alex Day being adorable about it.

Ok, I feel really bad for not posting for like 2 weeks... but i have REASONS!

1) i started school 2 weeks ago and the workload has been crazy since i missed out on the summer homework and i had (still have) to do that along with my regular work and... ugh

2) the wave of family came to visit, one right after the other week after week. so it was really hard to find time to see them, do my school work AND blog, so im sorry :(

I also joined my schools book club which is pretty much the best party i've been to all year. Its super fun and there's like 7 nerdfighters and its just awesome.

I got my hair cut on Wednesday so its not all crazy/frizzy/puff... just crazy/curly/puff.

I'm ba-aaaaack!

I'm home! I apologize profusely for being part of the reason that this blog.... kind of died. But now I'm bringing it back to life! Huzzah!

Okay so I just spent the last two weeks in the UK. AHHHHH it was basically the most amazing thing in the world and I'm going to spend this whole post talking about it.

So Edinburgh is this city in Scotland and every year for the month of August, there's this ginormous theatre festival that takes over the city. It's the biggest arts festival in the world, and the population of the city goes from like 500,000 to 4 million or something ridiculous like that. It's crazy.

And so there is this organization called the American High School Theatre Festival, and they choose around 50 high school theatre groups and send them to the Fringe. We perform there and get to see a bunch of shows and it's glorious.

I spent two days in London (got a tour of the Globe Theatre and did a workshop there, went to Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square) and then we took a train up to Edinburgh. It was basically the Hogwarts Express, no lie, because it was all of the American high school kids in the train together.

Theeeeeen we spent nine days in Edinburgh for the festival! We performed our show four times and I saw a bunch of other high schools' shows and I saw a bunch of professional shows and I saw some comedians and I saw lots of street performers! Plus we did touristy things like climb Arthur's Seat, which is this dormant volcano, at four in the morning to watch the sun rise, and we went to some castles and took lots of pictures and it was ah-mazing. I'm going to stop gushing now.

But seriously, it was the best experience of my life. I wish I could still be there. It was great to meet so many new people in such an exciting place and get to be a part of something that big and important. I want to go back every year, I swear. Even if you're not a theatre person usually, I think you'd love it. Edinburgh is such a cool city, everything is beautiful and old.

Anyway.
Lots of exciting things going on in my life.
On the downside, I start school on Friday.

I was considering just not posting, but then I figured I should set an example. Which is a sad statement, because I think I am the one person on this collab who really shouldn't be a role model.

HEY I'M IN SCOTLAND

I'm in Scotland! I literally have no time to post right now, but I just wanted to stop by and tell everyone that I'm not dead. I've been spending my time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the most awesome place in the world. I'm having the best time of my life, and I'll tell you all about it later. I'm getting home on Monday, so I'll be able to post next week. I also spent a few days in London. Someone else needs the computer now, so I'm going to go! Bye! Love you all!

Yeah I've got nothin' I'm in a production of Oklahoma. I'm starting high school is a couple of weeks. I'm having to get rid of my cat I'm sick today and pepper imps are yummy if not hazardous to one's tounge.

Tuesday the Seventh (and also the tenth)

Let me just begin by saying: where in the name of all that is holy are you all? I mean, seriously. I leave for a week and it all goes to pot? Jeeze Louise.

Anyways. We don't have a theme for this week, so I'll just begin talking about the fact that it is nine o'clock in the morning, I am leaving in an hour, and I still haven't finished packing. What I mean is: "Where the hell did I get all this shit?"

So, when I flew out to my summer res, I had two suitcases and a purse. Everything fit marvelously. But now? I have my two full suitcases, plus a mail box, two purses, and I still have a ton of unpacked clothes. And this happens /every year/. I think the suitcase faries hate me.

But anyways. Today in History: The institution of the dreaded "Oils, creams, gels." Airport rules. *shudder* The Magellan reached Venus, and the French Revolutionaries stormed the Tuiliers Palace.

And TV DIRT: I've got nothing.

Also, just for your info, the sun had three mass cmes, which are basically solar zits.
